It is real! Look at all the other shots and zoom in. The Google van came from the north zoom in on the kids you can tell the bigger one is holding something. Then go south one more frame and the little kid is running away and the neighbor in yellow is holding his kid trying to get him in the car. So google found that frame and took it out. The houses and car match this photo.

But madiSON, take the pictures at different times you do realise..? He could have been standing there and then when they drove along and took a picture again, he was holding the gun.

I thought the same thing Elena. And I looked it up. But in the picture the kid is walking towards the guy, and the guy isn't holding up a gun.

Wow, I think this is actually real (I doubted the authenticity at first). I looked up the place and they've altered it so you can't land on this scene, but if you go one scene behind it and change the view, you can see the guy in the white shirt and the little kid. If you go to maps.google.com, search 6414 S Oakley Ave, Chicago IL and do street view, you'll see what I mean.
